Earlier this week, we welcomed a distinguished delegation from the Netherlands to the Rochester Region. The mission emphasized global collaboration in high-tech innovation, focusing on semiconductors and integrated photonics.During the event, I had the opportunity to highlight the VPIphotonics photonic design workflow, simulating everything from devices to systems, while showcasing our strong partnerships and PDKs with Dutch companies like LioniX International and SMART Photonics. I outlined our strategic decision to locate our US office in Rochester stressing our commitment to support the thriving optics and photonics community here, notably through OPTICA Rochester SectionA huge thank you to David Grome & Leah George VanScott of Greater Rochester Enterprise and the Dutch Embassy for making this event possible. The new contacts made are invaluable, and I'm looking forward to continued and new collaborations between our two ecosystems!
