Conferences are like mascara:- often overpriced- 𝚜̶𝚊̶𝚢̶ ̶𝚝̶𝚑̶𝚎̶𝚢̶’̶𝚛̶𝚎̶ ̶𝚠̶𝚊̶𝚝̶𝚎̶𝚛̶𝚙̶𝚛̶𝚘̶𝚘̶𝚏̶ ̶𝚋̶𝚞̶𝚝̶ ̶𝚝̶𝚑̶𝚎̶𝚢̶’̶𝚛̶𝚎̶ ̶𝚗̶𝚘̶𝚝̶Anyway, now I’ve got your attention… 🤣I’ve been turned away from presenting at a lot of events this year… some big’uns at that. Why? My content has been branded by some event organisers as “too niche”.If I’m being brutally honest, as an attendee I would be rather peeved if I’d paid hundreds of pounds to go to a conference to then hear several presentations on the “perfect onboarding journey” or “guys… we need to collaborate”.I am biased, sure, but if there was someone due to present on topics that I’ve not seen anywhere else… I’d see that as value for money and an opportunity to learn something new, not a talk that is too niche and should be avoided.Thoughts?

I am incredibly excited to be speaking at the WALES FRAUD FORUM LIMITED conference this Friday at the stunning Principality Stadium in Cardiff 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 I’ve had the pleasure of presenting there before, so I’m thrilled to be going back.Not only that, I still can’t believe that I’m the keynote for the event 😳🥹 especially when absolute legends such as Michael Levi, Nicholas R. and Alex W. are on the agenda 💚 #SomebodyPinchMeSpeaking of legends… I’ve had the pleasure of working with Nic on many occasions but never in person, so I’m even more excited to see him in real life. A few people have also said to me that they’ve never met Nic in person either… which leads me to deduce therefore that Nic Ryder is a unicorn 🦄(Also, if someone can persuade Ryan Reynolds to pop over from Wrexham to Cardiff to see my keynote, I’ll be forever indebted!)

I am overwhelmed and ecstatic that I have been shortlisted for *four* Tackling Economic Crime Awards (TECAs) for the second year running.Having been a finalist every year since 2021, I’m honoured to be recognised again for my contributions in this space... I have all the time, adoration and respect in the world for Arun, so being invited to join him on ‘At the Coalface’ was an absolute no-brainer.Join us online on Monday 14th October as we discuss some very interesting topics.(I asked for a 5hr-long session because these topics are amazing, however that idea didn’t land because apparently people have jobs to do 🤣)Details below 👇🏻
